As it is said"The Storm will pass Over",we are sure that the worst has happened and we fought head on.Below is the strategy explained:

We are known for our wide spread sales network covering consumers across the continent.But we being the makers,on the contrary,were given the last bite of the pie and the major chunk was forwarders aiming for easy volumes and not margins.As a result,it is evident that we grew rapidly in our early days of existence. Now that steel making has surpassed a generation,the volume alone is not the cure.Our marketing division is rapidly eradicating middlemen and has successfully initiated direct relationships and the fog is depleting.

  Why we about to "MISS THE BUS"-Elaborated 

• Steel as a commodity has been 'Fragile' since decades and it has been in it's worst state since 4 years.We all profoundly know that the value of steel has declined in latest times,becoming the weakest it has ever been.We would take this as the primary reason for our declined attributes. Adding to it,our nation has seen rapid localisation in major demand generating area such as

• South India,Maharashtra and Gujarat,as a result of which,we had to get affected in sales.Demand crunch and the competition grew. 

                                                  

• Another point would make you count us against our own nation,but as true as it can be,we faced issues in selling what we call the best in quality.Due to extreme competition,our opponents initiated selling of steel in impossibly low prices which was possible for them when they reduced cost in various grounds.It's a well know pact that quality has to be compromised if you enter into throat slicing competition and Surya Isspat didn't do the same.Fighting the stereotype,we continued selling Quality steel to consumers who were more keen in pricing rather than quality.Hence,the declining profit. 

                                                                             

• Further we would confidently state that we invested in our Fixed Assets(Plant & Machinery) in the form of Expanding one more manufacturing unit in our premises, from our CC account.Shortage in working capital further made us miss the deals of discount,as discounts are a barter against working in crunch is not a Cup of Tea in this fort.   

                                         

• One of the most unfortunate activity in steel history of India and an indispensable mention in this write-up,was the period of continuous bankruptcies which happened between 2011-2013 that made the steel maker,investors,economists and even the strategists loose hope in their respective forecasting.Morals were affected deeply (still are) and that eradicated the confidence of steel makers affecting the line up further.Absence of credit and declining faith in the dealings affected us even more.    

                                                                                                 

• Lastly we are putting light on what we faced in the most difficult of our days,and that was a technical glitch.Some of our employees in the technical area made fatal decision and our productivity got affected in the worst way possible. This lasted for months and resulted in lesser productivity and cloud high cost.Unfortunate that we took much time in getting rid of the situation and the monetary wound had left deep scars. 

Above reasons weigh enough to break the scale,but we are committed towards the journey for achieving the target,which is tougher than ever.You may go back to the commercial side of journals back then,you will realise that the strongest of steel players left the table and couldn't bet more in the gamble.Our strategy made us survive and we still hold the table.And yes,we'll bet more
